In my free time I play against myself (my Eldar) using Vassal (a 40k simulator).
I do this both for fun and to learn something new at home and not at a tournament. Usually this ends in a lost game.

After fighting nids (4 Flyrants, 3 Tervigons, Doom) I realised that I have some serious problems against armies that tend to get in your face.
That probably also includes deamons but due to my lack of skills playing them I usually just obliterate them and that doesn't teach my anything.

My next list to beat (or be beaten by) ended up being so funny/strange/out of the box/put there some other adjectives/spammy/competetive? that I just had to post it.


You can possibly swap Plague Marines with more Cultists.

I love the Maulerfiend spam, I've been running a 1000pt list with 3 Maulerfiends and it works like a dream. The 5 spawn is nice as well; 15 T6 wounds are disgustingly awesome. Overall there's not much I can say to critique this list as it seems to be good enough to do incredibly well without changing things. If anything, I'd recommend taking away one cultist squad from the Black Legion and giving the Sorcerer the Murder Sword. It's excellent anyway, but thanks to the awesome rule picking out one character on the opposing team to give a strength 10 AP1 instant death strike is even better.

With an unmarked Lvl 3 Sorcerer, you have some crazy potential to get the spells you want (Iron Arm/Endurance/Hall/Invis). That said, he should get a Spell Familiar to ensure that those sought-after powers go off successfully even if he's not the guy with Last Memory.
