Thought I'd show off my first Horus Heresy Models There will be lots more to come as I love the quality of these models. They were an absolute Joy to paint!







Loken was originally going to be clean looking, but due to an error on my part (cut his cheek out with an exacto knife trying to cut flash from his teeth :/) I've had to cover some up with blood and added a bit of bruising (he has just survived an exterminatus and a few rounds with Abaddon, so i can live with it )

Some of the best modeling and painting can come out of rolling with a mishap. That gash on Loken's mouth was the genesis of a characterful paint job. The blood and bruising on his face really sells the idea of him throwing down amidst the carnage on Isstvan III.

The small things make all the difference. Well done!

This looks awesome! I bet it was a blast to paint. Is this the same abaddon the despoiler we all know and love?

I think the bruising actualy looks realy effective, very nice addition. I dont know if its just the photo but your Abbadons sword looks as warped as mine did when i got this set.

My only problem would be that Abbadon's sword looks a little warped, other than that this is some fantastic painting :3

Well done mate!! You just tempted me to dig deeper into my pockets and pick up some Heresy minis . The diorama is alot bigger then I thought.
