So he is my Emperor's Children army led by Lord Commander Vespasian. My plan is to make it as fluffy as possible while using units and models I like. Hopefully as Forge World's Horus Heresy progresses I will be able to make it more and more unique and to my taste.
Lord Commander Vespasian
Primus Medicae Fabius Bile
Forge Lord Yanos
Reconnaissance Squad
Assault Terminators
Tactical Squads
Contemptor Sarancos
Spartan
Land Raider
Jet Bike Squadron
First of my Kakophoni member 3rd Company Captain Marius Vairosean
Pyskers are mutants and therefore unacceptable in the pursuit of perfect. However psychic powers can be pretty useful, especially to my Kakophoni unit. So I have created a "counts as" librarian model in the form of the Remembrancer and Composer Bequa Kynska. After her death during the performance of the Maraviglia the Lord of Pleasure Slaanesh saw fit to bring her back as a Daemonette Chora Master.
So I give you Chora Master Bequa Kynska

Incredible army! I love the Spartan, the rules for that are brutal, too. Your last model is a great conversion, did you use a Sister of Battle as the base of the conversion?

Looks like Saint Celestine as a base, Noise Marine backpack from the bits set and then Daemonette claw, icon/staff and head with some basic sculpture on the face.
I really like the conversion ^^

Really nice models, solid painting and a few great conversions. However, as much as i like naming every dude, painting it around the base is really distracring when looking at the army as a whole and is bringing the overall look way down.

This^^^. Nice paint job all around, tacky names on bases.

I disagree with the names, it adds flavor. It looks nice and I'll be following this thread.

At the risk of sounding like an ass (but I am glad that others have commented as well), I think the painting looks really good, but the names detract from the overall vibe I get. I appreciate that you've taken the time and thought to name all of your figures, but the quality of the lettering and size of the lettering is a bit of a put off for me.
On other notes, can't tell, but on the large gold areas of your jet bikes, did you wash any of the large areas (engines, etc) to add some depth to the area?
On your Kakaphoni, I think the flesh color could be lightened up a but. Currently, the skin blends into the respirators. I think a shade or two lighter on the skin would make the model pop quite a bit.
Again, overall a very nice and cohesive effort.

Thanks for all the comments, really enjoyed doing all the little special conversions.
Sledgio: Yeah its Saint Celestine's body (with the sisters iconography removed), as for the other parts there is a noise marine backpack (with the papers from the Dark Apostle backpack I had spare), head, staff and claw form Daemonettes
Ifurita: Thanks for the comments (I don't think you sound like an ass). There is actually washes on the jetbikes and I assure you its just the crappy lighting and angle in the photo, they look a lot more impressive in person. I tend to agree with you on the skin tones not overly convinced myself, to be honest its my first real attempt are painting flesh and I haven't got my formula right yet. My intent was to go for a kind of dead skin look, somewhere between pale and dried leather with not a lot of blood running under the surface.
As for the names, this has caused a stir in my local hobby group as well with some people liking it and some people thinking they detract from the model. Firstly I've done it so that as I play with these models if they do anything overly heroic (i.e. a single loan surviving tactical marine holding a relic to win me the game) I can note who did it and add more bits to that model and make them more unique, thus creating a lovely story arc to the amry. But I agree the lettering is shockingly bad, its done with a white marker and my handwriting is bad anyway.
I am currently trying to figure a better way to do the names, either with actual name plates (and making them a bit more artistic) or using stencils or something. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Once again thanks for all the comments and advice. Currently working to finish my 10 man Kakophoni!

Wych Flesh washed with a little bit of thinned Reikland Fleshwash will give you a pretty nice effect.
If you are set on names, there are a couple of options to think about:
1. Printing the names on small mailing labels and sticking them under the bases. That way, you can keep track of who's who without having the names blatantly obvious.
2. Print in very small font, the names in white on black background, cut out and glue to the back of your bases. That way, you can see who they are and your opponent doesn't. Better yet, print these on decal paper.
3. Keep your current scheme, but take the names off the front of the figure and move it to the back.
4. Find a finer white paint pen to do your lettering with ... if your lettering isn't that neat, find someone who can do it for you. Buy them lunch in exchange for doing the lettering for you.

Its been an age since I update my Emperor's Children army, due to work and lacking inspiration until recently when I finally decided to make a Lucius model for the 30k era. Please excuse the poor image and lighting:

Nicely done. Your Lucius is far cooler than the Citadel 40k one in my opinion. Very nice conversions there and on Bequa.
