So I am constantly seeing these things on all manner of bases. Which are correct? GW seems to keep changing the ones that come in the box.

Should they be on the small flight stands? 40mm? 60mm?

I've seen all of the above, in tournaments mind you.

Some are glass as glass half-full type of person.

Some are a glass half-empty.

I'm a glass half broken and shoved into someones face kinda guy...

Just look up the model on GWs website. It lists the base size each model is supplied with.

They should be on the base they came with OR a base of the appropriate size based on what the model is.

My friend plays CSM with some old school obliterators that came on 25mm bases. He could legally use those bases but I told him I would be more comfortable if he re-based them on 40mm in future games. He agreed and rebased them. He can still legally use them. He did not need to change

The Dark Eldar Jet bikes currently come on small flying bases, the Eldar jet bikes come on large flying bases. Those bases can have either the tall or short stems. Sammael comes with a large flying base. So, unless they are playing with jet bikes that came with something other then a flying base it seems the appropriate base and size is any flying base with any stem.

The 'correct' size is whatever the model came with.

GW keeps changing their minds, so people are used to seeing jetbikes on pretty much any of the various flight bases.

Current kits come with the small flight base IIRC. But you've seen the various sizes because GW keeps changing which size they come with.
