I bought someone's Eldar army and wanted to try it out as it seems to be all the rage. For now this is just a non competitve build with which I want to learn how to play with my Eldar.

HQ:

Avatar of Khaine 225
-Fast Shot
-Disarming Strike

Farseer 115
-Jet bike

Troops:
10 Dire Avengers 130
+Wave Serpent Transport 135
-Scatter Laser
-Holo Field

11 Guardians 99
Warlock 35
+ Wave Serpent Transport 135
-Scatter Laser
-Holo FIeld

11 Guardians 99
Warlock 35
+ Wave Serpent Transport 135
-Scatter Laser
-Holo Field

Windrider Jetbike Squad 95
-5 Bikes
-Shuriken Cannon

Vyper Squadron 100
-2 Vypers

Heavy Support:
Wraithlord 160
-Star Cannon
- Bright Lance
-Dual Flamer

1497 points

The tactic behind this list is attack both of my opponents flanks with the serpents on one side and the Falcon on the otherside with support of the Vyper and Jetbike squads. My two MC's will be for some extra
Which HQ should be my Warlord? And how does this look for a first time list? And my last question on what to spend my last 5 points.

The points on your avatar are off, so check that again. Fast shot is a must, but crushing blow is situational. If you want a combat, build consider disarming strike. Best not to make the avatar your warlord cause he will be a fire magnet and liable to be gunned down. Great if you make combat, if not drawing fire makes your points.

Your farseer probably does not need runes of warding. Mastery level 3 means you deny most enemies on a 4+. Runes of witnessing are ok but expensive for a one shot. A singing spear is a great to kill your extra points.

Falcons are ok but you would probably be best with another wave serpent. Kiting with the pulse laser and keeping scoring troops is ok, but serpents are still the best buy. Warlocks can't join avenger squads so save your points.

Guardians are fine. I personally don't like warlocks with guardians but your mileage may vary.

Vipers are ok for a shoot and scoot unit, but even cheap you want a chin cannon. Particularly when you have a cannon on top to double tap.

Your wraithlord can take a sword with points spare, and needs a second gun. Dual lances are a good build, and remember to take dual wrist flamers. Overall you have a plenty good list, it's strong enough to play everything but the most competitive of builds. Even then you can put up a decent fight.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

The lot I bought contained said falcon and bought the wave serpents as they are better. Though I could just run it as a wave serpent with the same weapon loadout. Then I jusr have to rip the lance of the falcon and add those vins.

The avatar is indeed only 215 points, But 225 with the disarming blow.

As for the WL, it is kitted with a star cannon, I was mistaken in my initial post. I could say the catapults are flamers though that should workout.

By removing the warlock, the rune and switching the falcon to a WS I should have free'd up 65 points to up the dire avengers to 10.

Well, I'd keep the Guardians, the DA in Serpents (adding underslung shuricannons), and the Jetseer. Add another WR Bike including another shuricannon, and drop the mediocre units: Avatar, Wraithlord, and Vypers. I'd add three Warwalkers with scatterlasers.
