Space Environments Floor Tile Set

The Space Environments Engineering and Lab Floorplans vol1 is designed to allow you to create an exciting series of sci-fi scenarios for your gaming systems.

The floorplans use 1 inch square 300dpi floor tiles and includes passageways, junctions and rooms allowing you to create unique adventures.

Designed by the award winning artist Quicky, the engineering and lab sections are designed to be combined with the other floorplans in the space environment range.

This pack contains straights, L-bends, T-junctions, offset passages, hide-ways and room elements in a series of different styles to combine and use as well as door and double door

Poor man's Battle Systems?

Battlesystems is quite a different kind of product. These are "print yourself" tiles, which are a lot cheaper and work out better for some people.

They started a few years ago as something that could be given to schools etc from the local games clubs to get them started. I had them at a games day and it was suggested popping them on a print and play site. So thought I would give them a go.

I would love to develop them further.

Battle systems have done very well from kickstarter. £173,621 pledged from a £21,000 goal is very impressive. There is no real comparison between the two at the moment apart from they are both floorplan systems like many more out there.

At the moment they are flat so it can allow them to be carried with figures for the games clubs and be easy and quick to play with whatever system you are using.
The images are all made in 3D produced in cinema 4D and shot from above so with a different render the can be used in pc games as well.

Just bought the plans and I’ve got to say all my fears are unfounded. I’ve just opened up the PDF and I’ve got to say it is an ecellent looking set – well done sir!. I agree that the pieces look atmospheric and are certainly a lot clearer than the samples presented. I’ll get these printed out and see how they look in the flesh.

UPDATE:- Printed off at work and they look good (though you really need Glossy paper) – Anyone wanting alt Space Hulk plans should definitely look at this

Some very cool stuff. Forgive me if you already covered this, but what would you recommend printing these out on? It seems like it would have to be quite thick to stand up to use.

Depends upon your preference really. My son has some on cerial packet cardboard so he can take to school easily in a lunch box.

I have used plasticard for some, foam board for others. (Just trying out different backings)
The black foamboard is pretty cool but makes the cards bulky if you are stacking a lot on top of each other, but does give a lovely feel to the tiles.

The corpses on that last tile look like they need to be more diverse. Not one of them met there end with their arms splayed out and the same person has been repeated too many times and placed at the same angle. Beautiful designs though! Those hex ones are especially pretty.

Good point mate. Will have a play with some different poses.

Shame the tiles are 25mm and not 40mm... they'll be a squeeze for new Terminators if so. :-(

I can supply larger versions on request. The larger versions (how they are originally created) have the grid squares at 2 inches (5cm). This may lead to some of the larger rooms having to be printed in sections and put together. Please contact me if you are interested and I will add the set.
