Messing around with a Green Tide 1750 list not sure how competitive this list is... I could drop some boyz's from the groups to add some rockets... But not sure not even sure if the green tide is worth running in

I took a green tide to Golden Throne w/ Lootas, dakkajet and skyshield.

I got tabled 3/4 games. One game I failed to inflict a single unsaved wound on my opponent. I had 180 boyz... all painted and a very very very sad face....

Taudar Castle... you don't stand a chance unless they make a mistake.

You REALLY need a way of delivery, there has been lots of cases where Battlewagons have been successful in big venues.

I suggest grabbing a couple of them and slapping nob squads in 'em.

I understand the concept but even a single riptide laugh's at your infantry.

hey what time is it?

It is an increasing trend for orks in competetive enviroments to go fast or go home
I myself use a trukk heavy list, fielding 6-8 trukks!
Battlewagons are great aswell. But you have to bring them in large numbers (2-4 atleast) since they get popped almost as fast as trukks
Also I have great love twoards deffkoptas
They are a great pokers vs armor, and are expendable enoughso you can use them as overwatch sacrifice

Trukks all the way. I love my trukks.

I have been using a tactic with my ork bikers (man these guys seem so expensive next to white scars. Oh well new codex is just around the corner.) Basicly my bikes and trukks squads target the same unit and shoot soften them up with some shooting. Then both squads charge in.

The biker nobs makes a challenge. He has higher Toughness so can take a hit from a S8 Power Fist. His higher toughness can also help to get your opponent some failed to wound rolls. (Forget assaulting guys with power mauls though leave them for a squad of Manz.) The trukk boys nob can hit the squad with his Klaw and kill a few that way.

I usually run 3 squads like this they work a treat.

I run this list at 1750
5x trukkboyz (11 sluggaboyz, 1 nob pc+bp, trukk reinforced ram)
2x Trukks with 3 MANz
MA Warboss (atksquig)
Big Mek KFF, PC
2x solo deffkoptas tl rokkitlaunchas
3x big gunz(2 kannonz per squad)
2x 9man loota squads
The warboss and big mek ride in trukks with the MANz

Well this is for a tournament in Pittsburgh, PA this weekend... I am going to have fun... Don't really have high hopes of winning the thing but at least i can get a good laugh... the Missions are Kill points and two objective based games... Wish me luck...
