I've been working on Chaos for a while now and I've started doing some deity themed units. Here are my Soul Grinders:

Tzeentch

Khorne

As you can see, I've been raiding my fantasy and daemon prince bits boxes to do the converting. The Khorne axe is made from a galvanized nail, plasticard, and a couple of bits. Probably going to raid the Vortex beast kit to do the Slaanesh one. I'll probably get the plague hulk kit from forge world to represent my Nurgle Soul Grinder.

What do you guys think?

I absolutely love the Tzeentch soul grinder, it just looks perfect for Tzeentch.

The Tzeentch one is nice, but that Khorne one is awesome!

Love the Tzeench one best but both are great - love the ax on the Khorne one.
BTW I have a nurgle soulgrinder in my gallery you might like.

I used a plastic tube from the inside of a till receipt roll & loads of guitar wire for the gun. The plague hulk is a great model too though.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Tzeentch one is perfect, the best soul grinder i have seen ( i don;t like the basic model, but that is perfection!)

Knorne one is cool, but a bit too... fleshy? cool conversion thought!

I like the ideas, they've turned out nicely!

I'd suggest, for the Tzeentch one, to consider painting the eyes and beak and different colour. That'd help draw attention to the head. At the moment I feel all the grey blends together a little too much.

I'd also consider, for both, to add some more colour to the metallics--perhaps selective washes in various colours? Try browns for stains and blues/purples for heat sress.

Is that a Blade 4 I see hanging in the background.

Back on topic, lovely concept.

I love the tzeentch one but I agree that the head needs its colour picking out in some way.

The khorne one is great also but needs some more armour on the torso for me to get that Khornate look.

Thanks for the compliment. The reason I made him so fleshy is that he has ascended from human or marine, to daemon prince, to soul grinder. That's why he still has shoulder pads and the mutated backpack bits. For me he was the "biggest baddest berserker" which is also why I made his axe so large.

Not sure what you're referring to. There is a DC Comics Flashpoint poster hanging behind an old GW paint stand and on the door in the back ground is a MTG poster (pics taken at my LGC - Lost Legion Games and Comics, The Keep in Princeton, WV).

Ty sir, but I still like your models better =)
I'll get some pics up of the heldrakes as soon as I finish the 2nd or 3rd one (only the nurgle one is finished at the moment).

Yes, a few people have told me to do something different with the beak and I probably will. What's cool about the model is the body (flesh) started out white (primer), then was washed black, then was dry-brushed with a very pale blue. The head started midnight blue, then was dry-brushed grey (dawnstone), and again with white (P3 menoth highlight). It's weird how you can use completely different colors and side by side they kind of blend together.

Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions. I hope to have the Slaanesh and Nurgle ones finished soon (so many projects, lol).
