Subject: Anyone know a good source for metal GW models?

The time I've been dreading has finally come to pass-all my local gamestores are running out of metal models, and I still need to build a few lists with figures who have staves, swords, and long slender bits that I really kind of like to keep on my models, and which simply don't work with finecast.
I've tried just sucking it up and getting a few finecast models, and after 2-3 kits of ill fitting, warped, bent, and brittle minis I've decided I can't build or paint another one. It's just not worth the heartbreak when every remotely fragile piece immediately breaks with the nearest stiff breeze after I spend hours trying to carefully paint and assemble the damn thing. The final straw was a spore mine that snapped off its base while I was priming it, this is just not an acceptable material.
So my question is, has anyone found a good website that sells vintage metal minis for a decent price? I need Tyranid, IG and Eldar models, anything beefy enough to not just shatter into a thousand pieces at the slightest touch I'll just get in finecast while closing my eyes and thinking of england.
Also, if anyone's found any way to make finecast more durable-some kind of sealant, or a good patching material for repairing broken bits, I'm all ears. My greenstuff usually just tends to make the damage worse.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

Or you could wait... it appears that GW is moving away from finecast and going for an all plastic line so you could wait... maybe a long time.

You are late and slow. I still have some elder, mostly just banshees, as to tyranids.... I had a second gen lictor and 6 red terrors, zoanthropes from 3rd ed.... All sold now. I have metal csm kicking around, one or two lotd, a couple of loyalist metals, and a bunch of shoulder plates/bits. Metal GK don't count for much either.

Yea iv heard from a pretty reliable source that GW have either stopped doing finecast/ arent going to produce any new models in it. and that everything will be re-released in plastic(eventually) but who knows when they will redo current ones. But iv heard finecast wont be coming to any new army releases. That could be old news to most but i only heard it the other week, im usually quite behind with things haha

You could try converting finecast models out of plastic kits.
