Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to do this - apologies if not!

I recently bought a huge trash/bits lot from a guy on ebay (for ongoing necromunda projects…) and in it is a selection of minis I don't recognise and can't trace at all! Wondering if anyone can help please?!

There's two different groups - one is roughly 30mm and consists of soviet hobgoblin-esque and undead looking types and the second group are larger scale (GW ogryn scale) naval ogre-y looking chaps. Any one able to help? (Sorry for the crap photos, will try take some better ones asap).

Cheers in advance!

The fantasy stuff in Napoleonic looking uniforms are almost certainly from a game called Flintloque which was a Skirmish game in a Fantasy/Napoleonic crossover world. If I remember correctly the Orcs where the British, The Elves where the French and the Dwarfs Prussians. I think the Russians might have been undead.

It was moderately popular in the late 90's but hasn't been supported in a long time.

Oh, it still sees occasional support - not much, but it does sometimes happen. Slaughterloo was just revised and was published a few months ago.

Sadly, Barking Irons - the magazine for both Slaughterloo and Flintloque ceased publication in November of this year.

The Auld Grump - long time fan of black powder fantasy.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

They're definitely Flintloque, the one with the tam o' shanter hat with a bobble on it is supposed to be Sharpe's friend Harper, if you're familiar with the books.

Yup. Those are Flintloque. I picked up some Van Rottes Grenadiers the other month at my local market. £4 for a blister of 4. I thought I did very well myself.

Thanks for the info everyone.

I'm actually amazed that I've never come across Flintloque before by accident. Quite interesting stuff!
