ATGM's Thunderbolt attack type says "Enemy models are pushed d3" directly away from the attacking model (...)".

Is that movement treated like a Push attack? Specifically I am curious what happens if the push causes a model to contact another model or scenery, but also wondering about the general details of this movement.

Gunmage shoots at enemy model 10" away in the open, rolls a 6 for distance, so the enemy model is moved 3" directly away from the gunmage, ending up on the 13" mark as if you were measuring range for the shot (I know you don't measure further than you shoot, but I can't think of a better way to describe it)

Gunmage shoots at same enemy model same distance away rolling the same distance, but there is another enemy model 1" behind this one. The enemy model hit is pushed back until it contacts this other model's base, and then stops moving. No damage or anything is done to either model (apart from the damage from the initial shot, so no collateral damage I should say)

Does that help?

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Being Pushed
A pushed model moves at half rate through rough terrain,
suffers the effects of any hazards it moves through, and
stops if it contacts an obstacle, obstruction, or another
model.
Remember that a pushed model is not advancing and
therefore cannot be targeted by free strikes during this
movement.
A pushed model falls off elevated terrain if it ends its push
movement with less than 1˝ of ground under its base.

Taken from the rulebook.
