Hiya posted before about this but now that I'm working and have the inevitable christmas scratch coming to me, I was wondering if doing a mainly infantry IG army would be good? Or am I better off doing part mech/part ground troops? I know for sure I want to include a lord commissar in my list because I have the "Gaunt's Ghost" set and well its an awesome looking model. Once I get it delivered, assembled and painted I can't wait to show it off. Anyway I want to be competitive but have no clue as to what I need other then the ccg/pcg. I mean I was liking the idea of infantry blob with alot of flashlights shooting at the enemy, but I know lasguns aren't all that strong. Hence why I was thinking of maybe having some mechanized support. I was wanting to do 1500pts, but am willing to go up to 2000.
