My buddy Tony takes his Salamanders with Ad Mech Advisors (Space Marines with Tau Allies) up against a local (to Jax) Eldar player

Details for the mini death star he's using can be seen here: http://www.frontlinegaming.org/2013/10/22/irontau-fun-with-battle-brothers-by-anonymou5/

And you can see his "Ad Mech" Riptide, Commander, and Riptide Drones here: http://imgur.com/2gRE9tn

Nice report. I had actually been considering Tau allies as well and had the exact same idea for them - Adeptus Mechanicus. Seems he beat me to the punch. What model did he use for the Riptide? Thanks.

Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback.

He used a Gundam Zaku like this guy http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10146341a/20/1

He ordered a Burst Cannon and an Ion Accelerator from some bits site. Used an Eldar Missile Launcher for SMS. Used a multi melta for the fusion, I believe (they're all mangetized)

Drones are Devestator Marines with the limbs chopped off, made to look like Servitors

Commander is a Terminator witha jump back and some Ad Mech Iconography. (I think he used a Chaplain and did some work on the Crozius)

Kroot are DV cultists with Kroot Sniper rifles (again from a bits site) and a healthy dose of Iron Breaker. DV Cultists already have a lot of cyborg style parts to they worked pretty well I think.

Missile Drones weren't Devastators but actual servitors from the tech marine box with rhino missile launchers green stuffed to their arms instead of the heavy bolters. Commander is a terminator with GK head and staff is made from GK null rod bits and a thunder hammer staff. His left hand is scavanged from Imotekh. Otherwise yeah that was the gist of it.
