so I love guard and I love fliers like vendettas and valkyries so I am thinking of starting an elysian army. I am a relative noob to guard and a complete noob to elysians so don't expect a masterpiece. Heres a list I came up with

HQ

Lord Commisar (goes in the platoon)

Troops

PCS /w autocannon

infantry Squad (vanilla)

Infantry squad (vanilla)

Vet squad /w 2 meltas in valkyrie

Fast attack

Vendetta Gunship (vanilla)

And finally an ADL /w comms array

The tactics are, the vets and the vendetta come in from reserves and blow up vehicles. The regiment sits behind the ADL and try to stay alive long enough to get the flyers tabled (the comms array means that the reserves come in quicker) the PCS spams FRFSRF to get the max shots out of the guardsmen and the lord commisar is there to give them some CC defence.

Doesnt seem that elysiany really. Why not make it a real drop troop army and plan them all to come raining from the sky (or as many as you can). Would be so much cooler. Otherwise it looks like a standard army really.

I like the vanilla squads though. I used to always run vanilla squads.

tactics are pretty much the same. the PCS, CCS and vanilla infantry squad sit behind whatever cover they can find and try to kill anything that comes close and waits for the rest of my army to get tabled. That list is definitely elysiany from all of the parachuting/ gravchuting in to kill some xenos/heretic scum.

Much cooler. No point paying extra for the rule if you're mot gonna use it . It also gives you the option to deploy your men elsewhere should you need a change of plan. I like it
