I just started Eve up again, and I don't really remember any of the keyboard commands. So I was sitting there fuming over how hard it is to remember strange alt-key combinations for shortcuts I'm hitting on a very frequent basis, when a thought occurred to me:

Tablet as programmable keyboard.

I've seen apps that exist that allow you to use your tablet as a touchpad/keyboard for another computer, but I've not seen one that lets you bind more complicated keystroke combinations like what you can do with a "gamer" keyboard.

Basically, my ideal fantasy here is to be able to put my tablet next to my keyboard, and have various icons on it for Inventory, Star map, and whatever, and then be able to just tap one of those to activate a keyboard shortcut that would actually do that in game. Such a thing should be customizable, and usable for multiple different games, depending on which profile you have loaded.

Does anyone know of any applications that do this? More importantly, would anyone else use such a thing if it did exist?
