Hello i wanted some tactical squads to beef up my army and was wondering if the tactical squads from the dark vengeance set could be used in a vanilla army? If not what would i have to do to make them into more vanilla marines look?
Honestly the tac squads do just fine as vanilla marines, I use the entire set as vanilla marines.
Some people will say shave off the marking etc like the above poster which might be a good idea if people are real sticklers in your area but personally when you paint them up noone will really be able to tell.
The only exception would be the robes on some of the models which you can't really get off unless your good with a hobby knife and some green stuff.
It is a good cheap way to fill out tac squads though since you can get the models on ebay for cheap!
There's nothing really stopping you playing them a codex compliant dark angels successor chapter....let the haters hate.
For the Lion and Terra!
Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.
With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.
Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet.

Yep go for it mate. I'd suggest removing or modifying the DA icons (changing the sword on wings to a blood drop on wings works perfectly for my blood ravens). It's not necessary however. It's a great, cheap option to get good looking minis with good loadouts (plasma gun and plasma cannons are both fine imo).
