Wave Serpents do unkind things to Plague Zombies. Even if they don't fire the Serpent Shield, you're still getting hit by a Shuriken Cannon and Scatter Laser.

That's 7 shots that hit on 3's, reroll misses, wound on 2's, ignore armor, and inflict instant death. That's over 5 dead zombies per Wave Serpent.

If they fire the Serpent Shield, that's another d6+1 shots...except those ignore cover, too. This makes for a very unhappy zombie horde.

..ignoring cover saves/go to ground.

Zombie hordes are extremely effective, especially against star armies that just won't be able to offer up the amount of firepower needed to take them off objectives.

Designing the rest of the list is the difficult part

hey what time is it?

390 points nets you 90 plague Zombies...

I have yet to lose all of mine in any of my games I field them... They make AMAZING objective campers and HQ meat shields for characters like Ahriman + Typhus.

It's also worthy to note that when taking them and placing champions like Ahriman in their squad, that they DONT have the MoN. So it very effective for soaking up fire for your HQ.

A good combination I've found is to take Vindicators and stroll them up with Infiltration while Ahriman and Typhus position themselves and move up the board.

Fearless models cannot go to ground. And as I already mentioned, Serpent Shields ignore cover. But yes, cover saves will help against the Shuriken Cannon and Scatter Laser.

Zombies are great cheap scoring. Just make sure the rest of your list is honed to a razor to make up for the lack of damage output.

So,the will get shread like cheese when fighting eldars? Currently at my game store Im the only one who runs Eldar and currently working on Tau,but still after a moment of thought Zombies arent really great other then camping and meat shields. The rest of the army will include 6 oblits and 3 drakes, and thats it.

Honestly, the biggest advantage of Zombies is that they're fearless. There are lots of models that cost ~5 points each. Not many get to ignore morale tests.
