So I'm building an eldar army, mostly going to play against my friend's who run IG, Orks, and CSM, wondering what units I need or should drop for a 2000 pts list.
So far I have:
1 Farseer
1 autarch w/ wings & powersword
3 warlocks
2 x 12 man guardian squads w/ scatter laser
2 x 10 man avenger squads, w/ exarch & Shimmershield
6 Fire dragons w/ exarch & firepike
1 Waveserpent w/ BL & shuricanon
1 Falcon w/ Scatterlaser & Shuricanon
2 Vypers w/ Scatterlaser & shuricanon
2 warwalkers w/ Scatterlaser & starcanon
10 Hawks w/ exarch & hawk's talon
5 dark reapers w/ exarch & tempest launcher
2 x 6 man banshee squads, w/ exarch & executioner.
I haven't tallied up the points yet as I'm still in the process of painting and assembling some, and I'm considering dropping the banshees for the sole reason that I have come to despise the models.

You're 173 over. Couple of questions. Where are you putting your HQ choices (especially the third Warlock). Which unit rides in the Falcon?

I think this may come around to 1675pts and offers you a good fire base with some blobs of guardians to hold objectives, vipers/hawks can murder low T units with ease
(vipers can also pen armour and can sudo rend on TEQ).

The HQs only because i think thats the best you can do with the models you have, my only thing is switching between soulshrive and MotLG one makes him hard to kill other makes him a CC monster ( a max strength 10 Ap2 with 5A on the charge!). I would proxy a farseer on bike and give him MotLG so he can become a war caster.

Warlocks were not included because i'm still debating i they are with the 35pts on the hope they don't kill themselves.

Where are you putting that Autarch? I ask because you put wings on him, but if put him with the Hawks, then they can't benefit from their special rules.

Thanks for the advice. I went with the SL on the vypers for the range though, I want to try and avoid getting glanced to death on a 5 on ap from normal bolters. Stupid open topped...
And. I dunno what I expected the autarch to do honestly. I put wings on him when I first bought him because it looks cool. The only games I used him in 5th, he didn't seem very useful. I'm worried about using the banshees because the random charge distances and overwatch, they're squishy enough without all that business... Oh yeah, I also have a 3 man bike squad that I seldom use. They really need to update the bike models, it's scary contemplating the costs of building & converting jetseers.

Hehe true, also for the Autarch i guess you can run him up with one of the guardian blobs then just leave the unit to assault somthing (i have no better ideas).

wave serpents. But run them with scatter lasers. Giving wave serpents scatter lasers makes them at least an amazing tank, at best the best tank in the game.

Waveserpents would be a good choice but also wraith knights are sweet models and they play great.

Hm. Alrighty. I shall get more waveserpents. I like the wraithknight but, he's so big... and I'd feel awful if I couldn't give him an insanely good paint job. I'd need to buy an airbrush just for him. >_<
