How do we get into the main gallery???

And is it decided by people voting on the work you've uploaded?

You just have to upload it from your computer.
The voting thing is just to see people's opinions on the work

I do think it has something to do with voting. I've seen work I did show up in there weeks or months after uploading it and it was always stuff which had a good score on it.

The voting is just community rating, a sort of "score" to label how good Dakkanoughts think the work is.
Uploads may be checked, I think, before they are displayed, but they should go up immediately (if you check your gallery).

I think they get checked later cause Kid_Kyoto looks over it unless they've added more to help him, but every upload goes to the gallery from memory then as the community votes it should filter it a bit, the ones that get the good votes go to the front page of it to show off.

If you're talking about the main gallery display page, as seen on http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/ then it does indeed represent X number of the current the highest rated images as voted on within a window which resets, I believe, weekly. Probably Sunday since my gallery display is only half full.

So, do some good art, and get people to vote on it, and it will randomly show up there.
