Hey you guys, Ive been a fan of the Forum for a long time, but this is my first actual post. So i apologize in advace if anything is rough around the edges. To the point, i have been playing necrons for a very long time, but the problem is that my local group has also stuck with their armies. So i have alot experience fighting IG, SM chapters, and Eldar. Not a lot of variety. And we are all "reasonable" players, meaning our Eldar player wont spam Wraith Knights. even though he can.... (no disrespect to anyone) But going to this tournament i know there will be players like that. A TAU player fit 5 Riptides in his list, and a SM player with 4 land raiders, things like that. I dont want to be "That Guy" with 6 night scythes, or 3 monoliths. I like a fun challenge. Here is what i planned on bringing to give myself a challenge, but still be competative.

scarab base x7 i know... its scarabs, but i find that people fear/focus them more than all the infantry, or even wraiths. (maybe i need more variety of opponents to prove otherwise)

only necron models i dont have are stalkers. So i can add/take away wherever. I'd like to drop some warriors to maybe 5-6 per Ark and add some swarms, or make the immortals an even 10. But i figure the more warriors will add that extra fire with the arks while the immortals are in reserves. (flyer) I usually dont use basic troops in flyers, but in this case i did, as i did not want to spend over 300 points for lychguard, to use a flyer. Im not trying to stack against any one army, im trying to be flexible. scarbs can eat vehicles, or be tarpits. Troops can dismount, or stay mounted and fire from open top. My concern isnt losing, its losing to "those guys". I have no way to beat 5 riptides, or 4 Wraith Knights without bring all my cythes, or deathmarks. hopefully some scarabs can hit them with entropic strike. haha. What do you guys think. thanks in advance.
