Anyone think it would be a viable idea to make an army out of the beloved Berserkers? I have the itching to attempt it with crossbowmen and scout archers supported by roving bands of archer-wargs.

Anyone wanna join in the speculation and nonsense revolving around Berserkers as the bulk of an army?

Still in reserve.

A friend of mine who played as the Army of the Dead actually fought someone who deployed almost all Zerkers.

It sounded like the most terrifying experience in his gaming career, and he played as the kriffing army of already dead people.

Understandable. Army of the Dead roll to wound against Courage, not Defence, and beserkers are C7 I think, so it's pretty much a hard counter.

With regards to the general idea, it might work, but watch out for anything with good shooting. Beserkers don't have armour, so something like an Elf or Grey Company 'gunline' would drop quite a few of your guys before you got there. You'd need to support them properly, probably with either Wargs or just some cheap orcs to counter the lack of numbers you'll have.
