Hi all,

I'm currently building an eldar army and I think I'll be adding a couple of bike squads with jetbike warlocks to lead them. In the codex it states that I can take 1 shuriken cannon for every 3 Models In the squad, so I was wondering if I can have a unit with 1 warlock, 5 other jetbikes, and 2 cannons, or would I need to add another jetbike, the fact that warlocks aren't added to squads like regular exarchs makes me think I probably will need 6 gaurdian JB. What do you guys think?

The warlock is not part of the unit during list building. So he cannot count.

Warlocks are added after list building, and thus do not count towards the number of bikes required to unlock a cannon.

Warlock doesn't count.
He doesn't join the squad during list building (even if you intend for him to go there).

When does the Warlock join, and when is the decision to upgrade made? Consider these questions and you should have your answer.
