What psychic discipline best suits a librarian (probably level 1) in a drop pod with a command squad wielding plasma guns?

Probably telepathy actually, since you can't cast blessings on the turn you come in from reserves, and psychic shriek can be useful when podding in to the middle of an army.

Divination however allows to reroll the Get Hot's... Which is still inferior, but a nice boon nonetheless

Yes, but the key thing is not on the turn they drop. And are they really going to survive after that turn?

And also what army is this? The standard SM codex does not allow divination to be taken.

Or you could technically take a 55 pt inquisitor with precience, since they are battle brothers.

I dont think BB can use allied transports though so if they are in a drop pod then the inquisitor wont work (unless inquisitors have a special rule that says they can) and if your C:SM then yeah i would have to second the decision to use telepathy.

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

Nobody said the Inquisitor had to be in the drop pod I 'suppose, if he can't join thats an option.
Or just take both, and rock out with prescience AND psychic shriek

I'd say biomancy. Theres some game changing powers in it, iron arm and Enfeebled to name acouple, plus enfeeble will let those plasma guns instakill guys... And if you don't get the power you want, you can take the primaris Smite, which works perfectly in cohesion with a bunch of marines with plasma guns

There is only the Emperor! He is our shield and protector.

Biomancy is interesting, and makes me want to take a Librarian in Terminator Armor in case I got Iron Arm, Endurance or Warp Speed.
