So, over a year ago, before 6th Edition was on us, and I was still actively playing, I started a "pure" Nurgle army. Well, after many ups and downs, life events, work, rugby, etc. I have FINALLY gotten around to getting more work done on the GUO for the army.

Posting here for C/C, as well as any advice on where to go, specifically on the horns, guts and small minor details.

For the many open wounds, I'd like to do something similar to the tear in his back, but I'm afraid that it will brighten him up too much, Also, not sure just how exactly I am wanting to go forward with the antlers/horn on his head,... 90% of my paints are the "old" ones (so the antlers/horn are based in Scorched Brown, not whatever the new name is)

He looks good. What's the recipe you used for the spine? I can never do good bone shades, but you seem to have it down.

So far as the antlers go, the grained surface seems like it would lend itself well to drybrushing and washing.

I used my Scorched brown, lightly coat with Bestial Brown, then (and this is one of my few new paints) I used a fine detail brush of Ushabti Bone (I watered the pot as I used to do with all my GW paints, may not have been necessary as it was apparently pretty thin as it is), almost like several coats of drybrushing (tiny brush doesn't cover well, so I get as much area showing a bit of the color Im using, so it doesn't get caked on) then a VERY light wash of Devlan Mud.

Thanks for the recipe. I am going to do a pair of Chaplains pretty soon and it's going to come in very handy.

Have you thought about doing any salt weathering for the sword? It's super easy and it looks great.

I've never done "salt weathering" what is that?? I'd guess if you're suggesting, the rust paint wasn't entirely effective then

I'll PM you, I don't want to jack your thread any further.

Got a bit of an update for you... been working on the antlers/horns, as well as a wash on the sword (probably going to redo the rust effects to really tone down the metallics).
