This is a 1500 Point list I've put together, want this to be as competitive as possible, what do you guys think?

HQ:

Destroyer Lord /w MSS and SW 160

Troops:
5 Warriors in a Night Scythe 165

5 Warriors in a Night Scythe 165

5 Immortals in a Night Scythe 185

Fast Attack:
5 Wraiths /w 2 Whip Coils 195

5 Wraiths /w 2 Whip Coils 195

Heavy Support:

That's about as competetive as you get!

Are you used to playing that list? It's probably not too hard but a few games under your belt is good..

For something different.. you could drop the wraiths and destroyers, bring a couple of big units of warriors with a Veil tech and Obyron and sit them behind an Agis?

Also still take the flyers but just start 2 x squads of troops on the ground and leave the 1 x 5 man in one transport.

I think you're list is great. I think the most competitive build at this points level is one less destroyer lord, one less annihilation barge and three full units of 6 wraiths in each. But this is a very solid, competitive list for sure.

Thanks for the feedback, I have had quite a bit of practice with this style of list, may I ask what the use of leaving the warriors out of fliers? ?Surely they are just easy kill points then? And that obyron idea sounds fun, may have to try that out

Ahh I mean for the large warrior squads leaving them out of the flyers. Still take them as dedicated transports for your squads just start the squads on the table behind the agis.

You are right leaving 5 man squads is just giving up kill points.

To be honest looks pretty much perfect. Every base is covered no bad choices or wasted points. Tesla or Gauss on the Immortals?

My concern with no court how do you deal with Super Heavies or AV14?

Immortals will have gauss as they are better at closer range, I'm not expecting super heavies and this is for 40k and warscythes and gauss can deal with the few armour 14 around, otherwise I will try to flank things like leman russes and yes, I miss interpreted what you were saying bod, I might have to try 3 units of wraiths to, that sounds fun

Super heavies are part of normal 40k now. In my experience AV14 is either not around at all or it is 2-3 Landraiders carrying honourguard and other CC units. How do you deal with that or are you just OK with that being your counter list?

When did super heavies become part of 40k I've been out of the cycle for a little while and I don't know what could be done to prevent that other than pop them open with destroyer Lords and hope there's enough to mop up

Escalation is a new supplement that doesn't require your opponent to agree to using it that allows you to take Super Heavies (so by default it stands unless you agree not to use it with your opponent).

Looks solid. However, I'd drop the whip coils. You don't really need them.

Where would you suggest I invest the points?

I don't see anything you'd spend the points on that would make the list better. You could get 1 more Wraith but that would give you uneven squads. Otherwise I would have made that suggestion myself.

I think Whip Coils are always very worth while so I think I'm just going to keep them...

Bigger troop units. I know that jy2 and others use minimum Warrior squads mounted in Night Scythes, but my experience from various RTTs tells me that larger units are better, more durable and bigger impact (shooting).

The biggest problem with large units is being assaulted and seeing them all wiped out so if your area plays allot of assault watch for that. On the other hand big squads behind an ADL and with a lord with res orb are nearly invincible.

That's why I keep my units behind the ADL and have the two biggest units back up when units are getting close and then veil away.

Surprises my opponents when I place my objectives on the other side of the board to where I deploy my army lol.

Keep that one smaller unit in 1 x flyer though for late game objective grabbing / deny.
