Hello Dakka, after a few years out of the game I've decided to jump back in with the Crimson Fists. The question I have is what should I highlight the Kantor Blue base with? My models are primed chaos black ( Rustoleum camo black really) and I've gone with the usual chainmail, badab black, then mithril over brush for their eagles and a Vallejo Gory Red highlighted with Vallejo scarlet red for their hands. So I'm finding that the model has an overall dark tone to it, would an Macraggee blue highlight come out too light? Any help is much appreciated!

(I apologize but I do not own a camera)

If you're going to go with Macragge blue I would use it very sparingly. With Crimson Fists, the idea is to keep the blue very, very dark but add a few edge highlights. So you could go with a few edges picked out in Ice blue or one of the other light blue shades, with a tiny white highlight on the very edge of that, and you'd get just enough shiny blue highlight to make the edges pop.

For the red, highlight with a nice bright red like Blood Red or Evil Sunz Scarlet, but use it sparingly around the edges for just the right feel.

And if nothing else, try whatever you were originally thinking, but do it on a single test model first
