Thinking of getting a police box/Tardis to use with my scenery for 28mm miniatures.
What in your opinion is the best on the market?

I've only seen 2 Tardis minis in my time, both at the same event . The first was a clear resin tardis to show it coming in and out of existence as well as when it was cloaked. The second was a painted tardis, which may have come from Old Crow miniatures, but apparently he's been really busy this year, so idk...
For extra information, Heresey Miniatures makes a few awesome Doctor Who miniatures.

I don't have any personal experience with any of the Tardi out there, but there's also a company making one that is a bi-color resin half blue, half clear. I think I saw it on Ebay.

Anyone know of a 6 or 10mm scale one? Translucent and opaque would be awesome.
Just thinking of a little fun bit of scenery I might add to some wargames I have coming up this year.
Obviously some of the fine craftsmen and women here would likely just greenstuff such a thing in about five minutes, but as a rank amateur with almost negligable skill in such things, I'd rather simply snag a little kit if it exists.

You'd have to wait on the Reaper Bones tardis, but it is likely to be the best one on the market. Reaper does some pretty high quality stuff.

Isn't the Reaper one 28mm scale? I'm looking for something around 1/3 that scale, primarily for Robotech (assuming Palladium releases it during our lifespan, that is). Edit: unless that was aimed at the OP and not me.

Here's a topic from a while back that may help you out.
http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=246832
Though of course a 6mm is more accurate for robotech, you'll probably have better luck finding a call box in N Scale (10mm aprox) since it's an established model railroading scale. A google search for "N Scale Tardis" or " N scale Call box" will net you alot of leads.
6mm is going to be pretty darn tiny, but if you want something closer to that size, try Z scale, which is (1:220)

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I'd tried googling for 6mm scale and 1/285 scale, but you're right, actual railroad miniatures are probably my best bet.
Not that I'll do it particular justice in terms of painting.
I just think my girlfriend will get a kick out of there being a little Tardis tucked somewhere on the boards.

I have one from Aintsy Casting that's awesome. Clean as a whistle. They do a regular and clear version:

The clear one can be found here under the Aintsy Section:

Reaper hasn't released theirs yet, so no one has it in hand. It is going to be made in gaming scale (so 28/35mm scale- yes they're the same thing these days).
