So I was glancing over the rules. I have always been under the impression that a iron clad is going to get another attack because it has two fists. However I noticed that a DCCW is not a specialist weapon. Does that mean I have been wrong my whole life? Its like having the cake be a lie all over again.

Specialist weapons require a matched set to gain the extra attack. Non-Specialist weapons do not require a matched set to gain the extra attack.

Two DCCW = extra attack.

Ironclad does not have 2 dccw's though. One dccw (non specialist) and one "seismic hammer" (specialist). I had not caught this myself... hmm.

I thought the rules for seismic hammer said it was a dccw.

Yes .. what does that tell us though?
Wargear:
• Power fist with built-in storm bolter
• Seismic hammer with built-in meltagun
• Extra armour
• Searchlight
• Smoke launchers

I spy with my little eyes 2 specialist weapons, don't you see them?

I think you'll find the bolded is incorrect.

nvm

I did not notice that it now says "powerfist" instead of "dreadnought close combat weapon". Had it still said DCCW, then it would stand.

I retract my prior statements in light of this.
(pointing that out in the first place could have avoided all the annoying run around too .. just sayin')

But then you wouldn't get the chance to realise that just going over rules "because it probably didn't change much from last book" is dangerous and thus each book should be read like a brand new one.

Thank you Mr. Marley, that clears it up!

Rejoice, now I do not feel I wasted the cash on the dread!

Also that is good advise to read each book as if it is brand new.

Oh, the assumptions required to come to that conclusion are astounding. Anyway, OP's questions asked and answered despite the difficult route required to get there.

Indeed I was misremembering. It's specialist. Either way +1 atk. Sorry I didn't have the book in front of me or I'da been more helpful there.
