What is the best way to run a stompa? Deff arsenal looks mean but to be honest running a vanilla stompa looks more cost effective plus with a decent roll the super gatler could take out most of a 2000 point army.
Supa gatla isn't as effective as you'd think barring obscene luck.
2d6 shots at 3 units at ork BS will still only yield about 4 hits per.
A vanilla stompa can fire a pretty decent amount of dakka off, but the bulk of it will miss.

Pack it full of meks for insane repair shenanigans.
Firepower-wise I think the large blast missiles are totally worth the extra points. Pie Plates can wreck havoc with the enemy deployment and its worth it just for that
Which then brings up the whole 'is fw official...' gak again.
If you can get people to accept FW beyond the ones listed in Escalation, more power to you.
