Hi everyone my name is Josh im from Leeds, Yorkshire ,England I did in the past love doing miniatures but times changed and o got responsibilities so it all took a back seat. But now iv been dabbling in a few scenery builds and realised how much iv missed it so im back for another crack at the whip.

Hey Josh, welcome to the land of Dak Dak, where dakka is plentiful!

You'll have to post some images of your scenery builds, mate. I too enjoy the modelmaking/scratchbuilding side of things, and am only really getting back into the gaming side after about 17 years.

Are you building an army as well? If you are (or even if you aren't) check out Animosity Events, where we welcome gamers of all abilities. We can always do with some decent scenery, too! One of our guys is in Leeds; I can always hook you up if you need a game.

Laters!

Cheers guys probably the warmest welcome to a forum iv had lol and ye James that sounds great I did at one point try to learn the gaming side of it all but I found it quiet mind blowing lol but with me having abit of an architectural background iv always loved making scenic scenes for a gaming purpose. So I can honestly say my strength lies in the battle field. Great to meet you all. Iv asked one of the admins if it would be cool to put a bit of a scenery service up and he seems all for it so il get some work up soon to show you guys to begin with it will only be small things see how it all goes.

Thanks Josh

That sounds cool, Josh. I did Model Design at uni which involved a fair bit of architectural modelmaking. I do enjoy a good building! I too am more of a builder than a gamer and had my first taste of 40k since the 1990s just a few weeks ago when I was thrown in at the deep end for a weekend long Apocalypse campaign! Predictably I didn't do too well, but it was a good laff.

Look forward to seeing your stuff. Who knows - maybe there's a collaborative project in the future...?

Cheers

We have some players who might be able to play on week days, Opera. Click on the Animosity link in my signature, sign up and post your availability and what you'd like to play. We have one player in Leeds and one or two others who ain't too far. You're obviously more than welcome to come to one of our weekend events too, if you ever find yourself with the time!

(This goes for you too, Josh!)
