Hi everybody

Im painting the swarmlord for my hive fleet behemoth army and i cant think of a color to do the design on his carapace. I want it to be something unique and cool because he's the leader of my army. I don't want to do the regular turquoise. I already painted his base carapace black,and his skin red. any ideas would be great, tell what you guys did on yours guys that looks cool. Also, i'm thinking of getting some GW liquid green stuff because there are many flaws in his model. Is it any good?

Maybe use your normal color, but add something to it?

Another drybrush of a highlight color?
A wash of something to bring out more details?
A clear iridescent pearlizing coat?

Something that ties him to the rest of the fleet....but makes him unique?

Wow. that gave a great idea, i think i'll wet blend the turquoise with a darker shade of blue. Thanks davethepak

Liquid green stuff is a good product to have on hand, yes. Maybe try gloss coat on Swarmy's carapace? Or give him a really cool scenic base.
