Hi all,

I have a question regarding the Chapter Tactics for my Imperial Fists army with White Scars allies.

Can the IF use there chapter tactics and the WS user there own chapter tactics or can I only use the chapter tactics of the main unit (IF)?

Also, does the warlord have to be from the primary detachment? Does this not only depend on the highest Initiative of any HQ?

Is it just like 2 different armys adding together or do I miss something? I am confused.

The first part of your question is covered on p77 of your codex under "Allies".

Yes the Warlord must be from your primary detachment. Fairly sure that's in the Warlord or army building section of the BRB.

Yes your CTs apply to the units with those CTs. So IF units would benefit from IF CTs and ditto for WS ones. Think if you had BA allied with your SMs the BAs would still get their rules (red thirst for instance) and you'd still get yours.

Thanks for the page reference there. I remembered reading something along those lines, but turned to page 111 (with all the rules about Warlords) and it wasn't there.

You don't have to use the WS trait to have bikes as troops, only a captain on bike ( or a chapter master). It's limited to the captain's detachment though.
