I am quickly falling in love with this game. There is something about the models and the way it plays that is different and exciting to put down on a table. That being said, it is really hard to spark interest in a game when you start with one player in an area. Where are the hot spots for this game right now? I am located in Little Rock, AR, and would be willing to meet up within the tristate area if anyone is interested in getting some games in.
Also, just out of curiosity, where does everyone play? I know OTL is located out of Florida (I'll try to not hold that against them)

Have you seen Dakka's best kept secret? ' The Player Finder'. Its still pretty new, but it'll be quite handy to find groups as more people add themselves.
You can add yourself to it through your profile.
We've mostly got pockets of players around the areas where we've managed to hit up shows & demo.. so the Eastern Seaboard, Indianapolis, and Chicago. We're looking to add a few more shows to our routine, and are happy to take suggestions for shows we should come to.
If you are interested in running demos/events, contact us and we'll send prize support & whatnot.

I had not seen the player finder before. It looks pretty neat.

I would be more than happy to host demos/games at our store for you guys at On the Lamb Games, if you have anyone who does demos in the city of Chicago.
If you are doing anything for Adepticon, we are offering to do primers /promos for any company that asks.
There are amazing game shops in Florida. I travel a bunch and love to meet other game store owners, and see other cool gaming concepts.
I am glad I caught this on Dakka, I will definitely look into you guys, I am ashamed to admit but I had not previously heard of you guys.
Also, out of curiosity, what is the gaming scene in Arkansas, do you guys mostly just play competitive?
Do you travel around for tournaments?

We're going to try to have some presence at Adepticon this year, just not entirely sure what yet as we might be moving around then. Whats the name of your store?

Believe it or not, the gaming scene in Arkansas is pretty huge. The good news for OTL games and other smaller start ups is that most of these gamers have had quite a falling out with some of the bigger games for the last couple years. There is a huge void that hasn't been filled yet. What I am seeing is groups of 10-40 gamers in about 6 different games.
The gaming group "The Hogs of War" was predominately Warhammer 40k at the competitive level. We used to travel to Adepticon, Wargamescon, and Bug Eater every year. It recently has all but fallen apart because people have moved out of the area (myself included). They are based out of the Fayetteville area. Little Rock (where I currently reside), is a mixed bag of 40k, fantasy, warmachine, and MTG.
I would love to start putting on demos, and maybe get some sort of escalation league going at the local store. I know I could get atleast 5 people interested in something like that based off my direct gaming group. The pool of untapped potential players here is huge though. For example, the most recent 40k league brought in 26 players I believe, most who had never played the game before. There are around 50-100 MTG players at any given time in the local store, and they are always coming up and asking about what game we are playing, etc... and the Brushfire miniature line is pretty pleasing to the eyes.

My store is Next Dimension Games Chicago, nextdimensiongames.com
The website is WIP, so my apologies.
I see total potential to grow other games than just the big ones.
People think we are crazy, but we do absolutely no Magic whatsoever in our store.
There are too many stores in the region doing just Magic, or maybe a little bit of minis, and a ton of Magic,
so out of the entire city, we are the only place that has 7 days a week of dedicated play space, which I find odd,
but we are happy to fill that void.
Getting back to the other games out there, I've never seen a period of time where that has been so much choice, and so many extremely creative games out there.
I'm the kind of gamer that always likes to find out about new games , I have gaming ADD, and usually find myself picking up stuff from many different games.
The perils of being a game store owner, lol.
