Hey folks! So I'm finally deciding to take the plunge and I'm going to get the Warhammer 40k Dark Vengeance box at some point. With Christmas right around the corner, though, I thought I'd ask a relative for a Christmas present that would compliment the Dark Vengeance box. I settled on a vehicle (30ish bucks) for Dark Angels. I thought it would be a lot of fun to build and paint. So that brings me to my question:

That's what I first picked out. It's listed under Dark Angels Fast Attack. When I went to look it up at Amazon, I couldn't found it, but instead...

I like that one more. The vehicle looks a little cooler and with all the Marines hanging off it and such, it looks wicked! However, I noticed it's under other armies but not under Dark Angels. Can the Dark Angels not use this vehicle?

Welcome to the hobby! To answer your question, the one that you like is called the Land Speeder 'Storm'. This is a specialized variant of the vehicle that is used to transport space marine Scout squads up ahead of the main force. It's less accurate (due to the less experienced Scout driver) and more vulnerable to enemy fire, but also more mobile.

Unfortunately, the Storm is not available to Dark Angels, only to marines from the generic Codex: Space Marines.

The all fast-moving version of Dark Angels, the Ravenwing, is one of their better army builds and the Ravenwing Command box will give you three bikes and enough bits to customize large portions of your army. It's a little over the $30 price tag, but hey, it's Christmas lol.
