Greetings dakkabros, I am having some issues with my lists and could definitely use some input.

I really didn't have a plan when I bought this army, other than 'hey wraithknight/lord/guard looks really really awsome, maybe I should start playing Eldar. This is the curse of working in a hobby store, walking past the wraithknight every day was too much. =/

So I bought my army around what looked cool and not so much around what works the best. I love warithguard, but they are slow, so I put them in wave serpents to get them around. So far I have only tested a 2k and a 1k game against a space marine opponent.

2000:
HQ:
Spiritseer

Troops:
Wraithguard w/ D-scythe 210
Wraithguard 160
Wraithguard 160
Dire Avengers w/Exarch + TL shuriken 80
Rangers 60

Transports
4x Wave Serpens w/ TL scatter laser + shuriken cannon

Fast Attack:
Crimson Hunter w/Exarch

Heavy Support:
Wraithknight 240
Fire Prism w/ Shurike Cannon 135
Wraithlord w/way too much 165

1000 points:
A tragic combination of the above resulting in a small army that is lacking in something no matter what combo I try. Should I have a wk here or should I drop it, should I focus more on getting 4x wave serpents here by going with cheaper troops? What kind of heavy support should I pick to compliment my troops + wave serpents the best, and should I bring my crimson hunter for anti air? I had a really hard time answering the questions with the units I have. The only thing I have extra other than what is in my 2k point list is an extra squad of avengers and some fire dragons. Fire dragons cost 135, and at that point I feel like I might as well stick with 160p wraithguards.

So my thoughts and question are as follows.
Wraithlord: I can drop the wraitlord, I love it, but last game I had very little use for it, and I feel like I have units on the board that does everything it can but better. Also, I glued this together without checking MC rules, so i kinda put ALL THE GUNS on it.

Wraithknight: I am tempted to get two of these. However, last couple of games I haven't really gotten it in melee, meaning its 240points for 2x s10 lasers, which is kind of a waste of points. I am also tempted to maybe just run one but with scatter laser + suncannon combo. This seems awsome for taking out pesky rangers with cammo cloaks shooting my wk, they ignore its high toughness and all the while I am shooting at them with their 3+ cover saves, which was a real pain in the ass. Sunfire + scatter laser would give me some proper blast weapon to take them out, and give my wk an inv save against lascannons. Two of the non-upgraded versions would be a good deterrent against deep striking terminators and dreadnaughts though, and leaves me with one alive if one dies to centurion fire.

Fire Prism: I am considering dropping this. If I use it to shoot one shot at s9, then it kinda sucks. However, I feel this is the best anti infantry I have other than wave serpents, but will do better than wave serpents against terminators when using ap2 blast, or against scouts so they lose their cover saves. Could be really good against centaurions as well. Ap2 blast at 60" range against units that murder everything at 24" range but have no inv save.

Crimson Hunter: So far it has killed two storm ravens in two games. However, it is really weak, and if it does not come in after the storm raven it will probably die. I really want to field two of these (they look soo good), but I also know my main opponent might be escorting his storm ravens in the next game with another flyer (so they come in on the same turn?). I don't see one or two crimson hunters surviving this. Therefore, I wonder if I am not better off going with ADL or bastion. I have both, which I run with Coteaz + henchmen in another list, so I have been thinking that they should ally with my eldar to provide some anti-air that is less fragile. It doesn't seem to me that eldar has any proper anti-air other than this, so my last option is to just ignore air altogether. However, killing those two storm ravens netted me a warlord kill in one game, and it destroyed a squad of centurions (plane crashed and they took a s10 ap 1 hit? So my crimson hunter came on the map and destroyed 500-600points in one round singlehandedly), makes me want to keep some anti-air on the table.

Rangers: They are just there to fill some points. Use them mostly to camp an objective.

Dire Avengers: I run my spiritseer with these, and am usually using them to camp whatever objective is closest to my table edge.

Wraithguard + Serpents: The serpents kick ass. The wraitguard might kick ass, I don't really know. I've only gotten to use them properly in one engagement, where one squad of D-scythes took out an entire squad of terminators in one spray. It was glorious. At 1k points I have trouble squeezing these inn, but wraithguard and wraithknights are the reason I play eldar, so I don't want to drop them.

If you are still reading this. Thanks for taking the time, and I am grateful for any input. I play a lot against space marines, but it should be an all comers list though.

Edit: Also, should I get and use the forgeworld Iyanden supplement? I hear it might be good for wraithx players, but I haven't looked too much into why.

Ok well the list is pretty good, only thing i would change is to drop the exarch. min direavenger squads in serpents are really nice, there only role is to unlock the serpent, so upgrades aren't needed. If you need a place for the spirit sear, the rangers+spirit sear with conceal is quite good.
Holo fields are great on serpents, so i recommend that strongly.
The Iyanden supplement isnt foregeworld, its a gw product and for wraith armies is quite nice.

The wraithknight is great at sucking up shots, even if it doesnt do a whole lot of damage so i would keep it.

fire prisms are nice. best in pairs, but 1 is fine.

wraithlord on its own is a little odd, recomend dropping it for upgrades.

crimson hunter is fragile but also does what its meant to, kill fliers. the trick is keeping it alive to do so.

Agreed with all above, but in addition try to play with 2 hunters in 2k points for better AA i always play duel hunters in any game over 1k points, if all flyers are dead (or they have none) you can still kill terminators or tanks with the pulse laser and double lances.

I could drop the wraith lord, downgrade the avengers, downgrade the crimson hunter exarch to just crimson hunter, take another crimson hunter and upgrade to holo fields. Btw, If my opponent goes first in round one, then I don't get any jink or holo saves since my tanks haven't moved yet, correct?

Downside with two hunters is that the crimson hunters wont enter on the same turn. I am kinda worried about the stormraven with stormtalon escort entering on the same turn. Worst case my crimons hunter enters in my turn, they enter in the next turn and kill my crimson hunter, next turn my second crimson hunter might enter and kill one of them, then the turn after the surviving opponent ship takes out my last crimson hunter?

If I go with only one crimson hunter and an ADL that would give me something to shoot with when they enter the map, also make me less dependent on luck with reserve rolls, and I could also man the ADL with the spiritseer and scouts.

Thanks for the help and putting up with my noobiness.

looks good to me.

And yes, if they go first, your tanks dont have jink cover. But, the waveserpents will put pens down to glances on a 2+ so there still hard to kil..
