Hi there i'm new here and very new to Warhammer 40k. I searched for "orders range", "orders", and "unit range", but skimming through the posts I did not see my question answered. Google searches also turned up no results.

Situation: A company command squad's range for orders is typically 12". I want to target an infantry squad with my order.
Question: Do all of the models within my infantry squad unit need to be within the 12", or only one model, or only some percentage? I assume I cannot give an order to only part of the unit.

Thanks for your time!

That way,then left

A unit is within X" of another as long as at least one member of each are that far apart or less. If it's a range to models it'll be put differently than "units within X " ..."
