Trying a new mission out of the Escalation book. The game is a completely blood bath. Does the bane blade blast the Stompa off the map? Or does the Stompa stomp the puny tank into the battlefield? Hope you guys enjoy.

Mint batrep man. I usually don't approve of too many toyz on the table, but seeing those dakkajets come screaming on down the flanks of a stompa and battlewagon was good stuff

Just wondering how you guys ran D weapons (comped or standard - trying to get an idea of how best to play it), and how many HP the stompa was recovering each turn

We were running the D weapons as the rules were in the Escalation book.

As far as the Stompa, I was recovering between 4 and 7 a turn. It's absolutely brutal and I'm wondering if it's borderline broken. I'm thinking of a few ways to maximize the effectiveness of the Stompa and I think running that many Meks and then tossing in a scoring unit will really make things tough.

Glad you enjoyed the report!

It still dies terribly to D weapons, but yeah, its a nasty build and maybe outmatches some armies that didn't fare as well with the escalation toyz (ie IG with their very reasonable super tanks)

If you think the Stompa was bad though, honest to god take a look at the Kustom Stompa in IA8 which is now legal for Escalation. That is what I'd call broken unless/until the D is addressed

Love these games, they really feel more like how 40k battles actually should be.

I'm pretty sue both vehicles in general and super heavies can't stay locked in combat. And the bane blade died first so it would have been first blood. Not 100% sure though. Love the battle report though. Great to see people enjoying escalation.

Imperium: 2500pts
Orks: 1000pts

Not going to lie, I feel thats a great way to balance out a pretty powerful model. If superheavy walkers couldnt be locked in combat, it would give most people a really tough time.

Thanks for watching the report!

Nice video guys!

Oh, and that Green Knight guy in your comments section: do yourself a favor and just ban him. He is like, King Troll and says the most mean stuff. Save yourself some heartache and just kick his ass out now, is my advice.

Can't embark them Ram/Tank shock on the same turn.

How many points do you repair every turn average w/ those 9 meks?

Im also using the Big Mek to repair. On average I'm repairing 5-7. It should be 4-6, but I seem to roll really well =)

So you can take as many mek boyz as you wish in an FOC with no restriction? Must be nice.

Hey awesome bat rep! Also, I looked over the FOC in the Escalation and it seems that its the same really from normal games although there is Lords Of War added. So, thinking that the mek boyz were a no-go? You could take maybe 4 possible in a normal FOC with allied detachment. I don't understand how you are getting so many HQ choices? Maybe I am not seeing it, if I am jacked on this please let me know. I would love to cram my Stompa with that many...

I took Min Lootas squads and made 3 of them Meks. They can each repair, and under the Stompa rules, I can have as many squads in it as I want as long as I have room for them. It allows for 3 squads of Lootas each with 3 Meks and then my big Mek

Thanks for watching guys!

Yea after I asked the question I started running numbers through my head to see how you got that many. Lootas was what I was thinking...very good strategy too...

Mek boy repair squad, huh? I've never thought of that. Thanks for the tip! Awesome batrep, too. That kind of game is pretty much an auto loss for IG, though. Gun lines don't move.
