Now that escalation has dropped, I may actually have to face super heavy vehicles. Can my warriors humble gauss guns still get glances on a 6 against super heavy vehicles?

The key to strategy is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory.

War is beautiful because it establishes man’s dominion over the subjugated machinery by means of gas masks, terrifying megaphones, flame throwers, and small tanks. War is beautiful because it initiates the dreamt-of metalization of the human body. War is beautiful because it enriches a flowering meadow with the fiery orchids of machine guns. War is beautiful because it combines the gunfire, the cannonades, the cease-fire, the scents, and the stench of putrefaction into a symphony.

Yes. Nothing changes as far as Gauss weapons are concerned.

Hooray! Bring on the baneblades!

on the forum. Obviously

Yep. Necrons are probably the least hurt by the addition of the Escalation and Stronghold Assault.

They will still get hurt by GC though.

What I have
~4100
~1660

Peace through power!

A longbeard when it comes to Necrons and WHFB. Grumble Grumble

yes they can, although I'm pretty sure super heavies have a ton more HP to glance off.

Baneblades have the equivalent of 9 Hull points right? That's about 90 Gauss shots. So about 600 points of Warriors to destroy 500 points of Banblade? Still, it's nice that you're never in a situation where you can't hurt it.

Necrons love escalation, not only do they get an amazing super heavy but they have the guass rule to deal with other super heavies

Hi All, as a Necron player, I would love for gauss to work against super heavies... But I'm interpreting the "Invincible Behemoth" rule in Escalation differently. Rule on page 13 states "...any attacks or special abilities that permanently lower the Armour Values of the target vehicle do not affect a Super-heavy vehicle." Maybe this is a discrepancy between codex and Escalation, but until a FAQ clarifies I'm assuming the worst (as a Necron!). Would love to hear other thoughts!

That would stop things like entropic strike from working against super-heavies. Gauss Simply glances on a set number, which nothing in the SH rules stops from happening.

That dose gimp scarabs because they permanently drop the armor, but your warriors are A-OK as they only need to roll a 6 to score a glance. Warriors don't change the armor of a vehicle, just like grav and lance.
