Farseer-Bike/Spear/Shard of Anarus (why spear - for a S9 shot with the other farseer and warlock to give it a shot to crack an AV 14 thing if needed.

Warlock council - 8 warlocks - all on bikes, 6 with spears.. (why this number and this load out? - well This is what I have modeled and painted so that is what I am putting together)

I know it is a little light on the troops, but the plan is to give opponents everything else to deal with by zooming bikes and barron forward and deep striking spiders and the wraithknights can either start on or deep strike, the bikes are for taking or contesting, the kabalytes for same or camping - the venoms will give reroll to psychic tests if within 6" of friendly unit so they will go with council....
Thoughts... yeah it is cheesy, but I have been playing seer councils for a long time and I really want to use them competitively again...

Even with two Wraithknights and a seer council, you're not going to win many, if any, objective games. Many tournament games use kill points as secondary objectives, so unless you can make your seer council hit harder, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

It is possible. If I do not get fortune they are as good as dead as well. I agree that this list is troop weak.. however if I can eliminate my opponents troops as well it will not matter as much if my seer council gets into things... I agree it is not an easy list to play, but I think it can be a nasty one. If I decline a challenge everything wounds on 2's except barron, if I accept my farseer with shard is rending and instant death...

I would drop one wraithknight for min ssquad dirre avengers in a serpent, just for some more late game unloading scoring power

I would drop shard and take spirit stone of anath'an and you got 15pts left for what ever, I would never accept a challenge with seer.

Thanks guys... I tried to squeeze a serpent in there and I could, but I really think the wraithknights bring a lot to the table and take the pressure off the troops. My original list had a serpent, but I played a game of Tau/Eldar with 1 serpent and so did a friend of mine and the whole tournement everyone went - oh that's a really bad tank and killed it. I think if running wave serpents, the more the merrier..
As for the shard. The nice thing about it is that it makes the squad fearless and has an instant death weapon that rends.. yeah only 2 attacks but for a farseer and this list needs two farseers, I think it can handle itself pretty well, esp if prescienced. The spirit stone does help with 2 point powers, but then you lose your invuln save which is no beuno and if decline a combat the opponent gets to choose who sits out.... I know the shard is expensive, but man it has really been amazing for me in CC

I wouldn't take the a single serpent in 1850, it's a place on table take off from table deal, stick with the wraithknight and let haters hate.

Also if the shard is good mojo for you keep it, it was just my personal opinion.

I like the stone because in a squad so big normally the inv save isn't going to be used and so the extra powers are nice to have, and for only 15pts it's a big big big bonus.

No I hear ya man. I have practiced using it for team tourney play, but there I usually role once on runes and then on divination. I agree for 1850 it is a good one, esp. for the seer not using the shard, because the invuln means little to him most of the time. I am still considering that one. I wish the shard was not sooo expensive, but man that this has brought me much happy in games... lol I had horrified a great unclean one so his LD was 6 I missed the charge on him like a chump, but then he failed his iron arm but had FNP, he then charged me and challenged me I accepted with my farseer with shard, went first hit twice thanks to prescience, then wounded twice and he failed his invuln and instant gacked with 7 wounds... I had warned him it was an instant death weapon prior to him charging, he thought he would get his FNP but against instant death you do not. He was a pretty sad panda after that...I felt bad for him, but man was it fun killing a GUO

You don't have a Revenant in the list. That means that the list automatically sucks.

No I have a revenant an old armour cast one. However, I do not see escalation being allowed in most any tourney really. as a matter of fact - I think escalation really pissed a lot of people off and now they are taking things away that were okay before, Feast of blades making book of names illegal, no 2up rerolls, only one riptide and wraithknight....kinda kills tau and eldar a bit in my opinion... I wanted a new eldar dex for so long, but I am already soooo sick of all the hate... Man did necron players get it this bad or Grey knights when the ruined the end of 5th edition? But give an elf or a fish stick a competitive codex and let the bitching begin.... .. Anyway I do wish the Eldar list had a few more competitive builds... It is really serpents, farseers, wraithknights, spiders and jetbikes.... I like so many of the other aspects, gone are the fire dragons, harlequins, banshees (which really suck now).. sorry did not mean to rant.,.,lol

I wish that Eldar could have an assault vyper (I know im nuts) so then scorpions would be awesome and banshees suck less and harlequins broken, at least spears got a bit better...

As for the seer with shard it sounds like you got some karma with it so keep it, It almost sounds like my shriek seer hes the bane of my local store.

I bet psy shr is awesome. I know I really wanted an assault vehicle - the Eldar Really, Really needed one! It would have made the assault squads so much better... but alas no... supposedly Harlequins use venoms - so I do not understand why they can not have one.
