After a few days of figuring out builds, I found one I like, with enough CC to make me feel good on the inside.

HQ
- Farseer
+Jetbike

- Karandras

ELITES
- 7 Striking Scorpions
+Exarch w/ Claw, Monster Hunter, Crushing Blow

- 5 Striking Scorpions
+Exarch w/ Claw, Monster Hunter

TROOPS
- 3x 6 Jetbikes
+ 2 Cannons

FAST ATTACK
- 2x Crimson Hunter
+ Bright Lances
+ 1 is an Exarch

HEAVY SUPPORT
- 3 War Walkers
+ 2 Bright Lances each
+ Star Engines

- Wraithknight
+ Heavy Wraithcannons

I'm going for a pretty fast army. The small units of Scorpions wreak havoc in enemy lines (usually troops or weaker units that I can actually win against), and if I can they'll assault turn 1. Karandras and the Claw Exarch are made for MC and IC killing (the Claw dude is excellent for taking challenges do Karandras can wreck weaker squads, and the chainsabres are cheap for rending, an extra attack, and a better shooting capability), though DP's and Greater Daemons will usually go first, but I'll just shoot those or throw the wraithknight at them, since even bloodthirsters wound one on a 6 (that's without gifts, though). The Jetbikes are my main source of AP2 due to bladestorm, and the Crimson Hunters pull AA and AT duty. The War Walkers, with Battle Focus and Scout, move a ridiculous 12" or so inches per turn. The Wraithknight moves forward, pretty much like a giant missile that shoots smaller missiles (or I suppose a Distort blast that shoots more distort blasts) that homes in on enemy armor or MCs.

And the Farseer buffs things. Huzzah.

Thoughts?

Both scorpain exarchs need the claw. To good to pass up on.

The only problem with with that is the fact fact that I don't have the points for it. If I I I would totally throw it in there, but I figured chainsabres are good enough against basic troops.

It is a solid list, but I agree with ninja that you need a claw, probably more scorpions as well. Chainsabers are fine for the points, but the claw is just too good in comparison. If you drop the last jetbike squad to 3, to get more scorpions and/or a claw.

Star engines are amazing on walkers, but exarchs for the hunters may be better.

If I take out the squad of 5 jetbikes altogether, I have enough for a CH exarch, a claw and MH on the chainsabre scorpion unit, and Crushing Blow on the other, as well as two more scorpions. So one would be S7 AP2 and has the unit increased to 7 dudes, the other would be S6 and only 5 dudes, and that one has Karandras.

Cheers. No Wraithguard. Sorry, couldn't resist. The combination between Jetbikes and Scorpions looks quite interesting and bears some synergy, since Jetbikes are fast and Scorpions have scout.

I think you mean infiltrate, but yes It was either them or banshees, and banshees have to start in your deployment zone, so Scorpions it is!

Nice list,... (I run Banshees... sigh).

I love the look of the list. You going to paint the wraithknight up like a Scorpion? That's what I'm doing with mine, except I'm painting it like a Banshee... can't wait to do the wild hair.

Was there any particular Craftworld you take after or is this just the models you have?

I only have about half of the models, so it's also a bit of of a shopping list! I haven't thought up a name for this army, though it's more saim Hann than anything, I'm not entirely fond of that name.

I hadn't of doing my WraithKnight up like that, think I I will! Also going to mount mount the wraith on the shoulders and put the sword and shield on his his arms just because. If I ever want to to loadouts it won't be hard.

Don't drop the bike unit, just drop the exarch ability from the hunter so they both normal and wazza you got a claw and with extra pts give the farseer somthing to play with.

Looks like a great fun list to play. I'm curious to see how well the Scorpions do as getting into assault for Eldar with anything other than Seerstar is fething painful.

Just an idea...but you have a fair number of high S shots...try turning you nonexarch hunter into a starcannon bird.

You mean turn the exarch into the starcannon bird because BS5 for the 6 shots rather then the 4?

I was relying on the law of large numbers to take care of the starcannons. I thought it more necessary to ensure that the fewer high strength shots find their mark.

4 shots has a larger chance of completely biffing compared to 6 shots...not by much...but enough.

The lance bird also needs the exarch to ensure he can take down other fliers and heavier tanks in a turn.

I see, wouldn't keeping them both normal be better because of versitility?

I was thinking the same thing. Both being the same same adds redundancy. Sometimes the dice absolutely hate me, and I know that when I want the to come in, he won't, but the other one will.

However, has anyone used the starcannons against other flyers? Since they get re-rolls, would they be at least least somewhat effective?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Something else I just thought of, would the farseer be better off going with just primaris powers (so he would have guide, prescience, and Psychic Shriek), or three rolls on runes of fate for doom and fortune?

Since you don't need to decide on the second discipline until after you've rolled the first power, there really are too many variables for us to say. Some powers might be better than others against different opponents and latching yourself into the mindset of "I'll just take the Primaris without rolling" hampers you more than it helps IMO.

My thinking is that those powers are always useful to me. Knowing I can always get two separate ways to get re-rolls, plus a rather good witchfire power, helps this list immensely. Sure, sometime i might want to fortune or doom something, but the guarantees are pretty good.

Yeah but for facing some armies, like Tau, a Farseer with 3x Telepathy Powers is where it's at.
