Hey guys
So after finishing my storm raven i then went to sort the screen out and i hadnt realised that i have alot of glue on the screen, basically looks horrendous. Other than buying the parts from ebay/bit places, has anyone ever tried a tinted screen effect? if so how easy is it? Was contemplating just spraying it black but im not sure it will look any good.

Havent tried it, but your going to want a transparent colour to properly tint it (so that its still transparent).

Mixing some black ink into some medium (glaze medium I guess) should give a nice black tint when sprayed on evenly.
would need to experiment to see how strong to mix it though.

My Dakkajet had the same issue, I ended up painting the glass section entirely. Came out looking pretty subpar, but was better than the alternative of a weirdly gluey glass.

Sand the glue off, dip in Future, glue with UHU.

You can tint the glass, but if it is covered with glue, it will just be a different color and still covered in glue.

Future does a great job in filling in scratches, and I have used it to salvage a lot of clear parts which people have fowled with Super Glue or plastic cement. As a bonus, it also if more resistant to fowling from glue fumes compared to the bare plastic.

Actually, you can generally dissolve/strip a lot of glue after washing the part in rubbing alcohol. Alternatively, contact GW customer service and explain what happened- they are generally pretty good at sending out a new canopy.

Excellent advice above....

However, once you get it repaired (or a new one) yeah, I have "tinted" them before.

Usually paint them from the inside with a light coat of paint (or a transparent paint).

best of luck!
