So, i figure that its about time we had a dedicated relationship advice thread on this section.
So, for all you lonely basement boys and attic lurkers out there, hear is your chance.
Dakka will (hopefully) spill forth its knoledge on this subject.

The general idea is to compact all of the dating and relationship advice from all the member here on Dakka into this thread, for those with problems finding a love, or those with difficulties in their relationships.

So=here is my advice:

1. Be confident when approaching a girl. Believe in yourself. This is the biggest pointer i can think of.
2. Compliments are always good. Being couteous and polite are also massive pointers
3. Much as i hate too say it.... Sex isnt everything. You must feel for each other.
4. Love cannot always be found easily. Sometimes you are not looking when you find someone you really like, and things just click. Remember this.

This is all i can put now, as i have stuff to do.
But, i am looking out to the rest of you, Dakka to help compile this list of advice. Both for finding a relationship, and maintaining it. Maybe we can finally find a way to break the lonely awkward geek stereotype.

Number 1 problem I see guys make on a date... talking too much.

Instead ask questions and listen. The goal is to know everything you need to know about her, with her knowing next to nothing about you.

Plus, people love to talk about themselves. Let them.

IMO Don't go on dates. I never understood how this whole pre-set method of getting to know someone was supposed to be interesting to... anyone. Just let it happen organically. I've only had a couple girlfriends but I never went on one of those silly pre-planned dates.
