So I've been looking into starting an HH army for some time but never known which legion to pick.
Until today.
So I started reading Flight of the Eisenstein yesterday and have fallen in love with Battle Captain Garro. Now normally I wouldn't start an army with a main character - a character yes, but never a main one. (Just because I think you have to get a feel for the army before creating the awesome guy who leads it all).
This time is going different however. I already have all the inspiration I need from the books and artwork, so here are my ideas:

Head: this choice was pretty simple. I obviously needed a bald one with no bionics, so that narrowed down my options. Originally I was going to for one of the Masters of the Chapter heads but none of them really suited Garro imo, so I went for the regular tac marine head (the one guy in the centre)

Torso: so in the books, Garro wears Mk4 Maximus armour, he has an eagle depicted on his chest plate much like the Aquila only with one protruding head. He also has a second eagle that forms a head guard behind his neck. So the common image of these two element it's basically this:

However that's not how I imagine the head guard - I think it would be more like a collar crossed with a GK's psychic hood. So for this reason I'm thinking of using the FW Legion Paetor model's torso. Unfortunately the torso and legs are on and the same so I'll probs have to carve the legs away (they neither have bionics or the Mk4 look). Then I'll GS that protruding head and build up the collar round the back to form an eagle

Legs: again pretty simple: iron hands

Arms and Weapons: I HAVE NO IDEA! This is where I need help. I was thinking maybe the emperor's champion sword to represent Libertas, but I'd like him to be holding it I two hands so I dunno...

Any ideas or suggestions you guys have'd much appreciated

I believe there is a fancy two handed power sword in the Sanguinary Guard box, but having not read the book in question I don't know how suitable that would be.

The one in the sang-guard box is held in a really odd position, and the blade itself is too eligent imo for Garro
