So, my biggest concern is that he will have fliers, via allies. I will be in trouble if he has a storm raven.

BUT, this guy is known to go without fliers, so that's a risk that I'm willing to take.

Besides taking that risk, what else could I improve here?

Drop the sentinels because 1 shot with a BS3 isn't that great, either take PC or drop them for a vendetta which also happens to take care of the AA problem.

And if you need more pts drop the standard because your whole army is in chimeras it is pointless in taking (not in cost).

Good call on the Vendetta, I think ill put in 2. I thought about this after I posted, and realized, what's the harm? I suppose the harm is not having the vendettas out right away, getting cut short by interceptor, and having to focus on taking out a quad gun when I could be shooting other things. I mean, it's not a no brainer, the Vendetta isn't THAT good. But is it better than a pair of sentinels? Hell yes it is.

I disagree with your last statement. In a mechanized infantry build, the end result is often a few limping squads taking cover behind their vehicles or clinging to a shred of cover, they need the moral boost once they've taken a beating. Sure, the CCS is in a chimera, but I'd get them out if I can save a squad from the table edge. That might be an extra round of plasma shooting, maybe they can set up the LC again and keep the fight going. It's 15 points, and it's literally the only upgrade I have besides weapon upgrades. Just sayin.

Thanks for the advice though, vendettas are in.

Why the storm troopers? I imagine a lone infiltrated Chimera won't last long. Just take another scoring Veteran squad instead

Since the IG have a tough time crossing the table, the stormtroopers were going to take on his longfangs. If i'd gotten them in a really annoying position, they could have applied threat to his ranged units, which would stunt his damage output.

Alternatively, they could take forward position and ambush incoming vehicles.

They were a disruption tactic, but I scrapped them in my latest edit of this list. I went with Marbo to provide disruption. I personally think Marbo is a joke, but if the dice favor him, it could mean gutting a squad of long fangs, or disrupting an advance.

Marbo is a stud, you should always take for 65pts he can murder anything (with a little luck).

If you feel like your army is to slow (which it isn't) then you could but 20 horsemen for 200pts that first turn of combat they are strength 5 I5 and ap3 but even more then that they would be epic they are also move 12" then assault 12" with rerolls which means with some luck (again) you could get a 1 turn assault! (it also helps vs drop pod armies).

Aside from Marbo this is bad advice. Do not ever take rough riders if you want to win.

Your list looks good so far. I would recommend dropping the Lascannons from the veteran teams personally.

2 Vendettas are an absolute yes. You need them for Anti Tank

If your worried about Anti Tank, switch out two LRBT's for vanquishers with lascannons on them, perhaps even taking some plasma cannon sponsons too.

Long fangs suck to go against as IG unless they all have missile launchers, so it is good that you are keeping your tanks cheap, if you deck it out too much they might become a target for lascannons.

If your not worried about this, think about taking an Executioner. Those tear apart TEQ and MEQ.

Bro the rough riders were a joke.... But you always should take marbo because he is Arnold Awesomenater.

But the key to IG is lots of cheap tanks and vendettas.

You mean sylvester stallone lol?

I would also say go for the vendettas over the sentinels

aside from that I cant say there would be much more to change.

Also as mentioned about the banner, if you get your CCS out of their chimera to try and save another squad then you just made it easier for your opponent to get first blood. You have an order called "Get back in the fight" which will get them back and remember if their squad is below 25% they would need double 1's to stay alive.
