In the interest of thinking about how bets to make use of the very costly 350 pts Be'lakor model, let's get some suggestions for how his guaranteed access to all the Telepathy powers can be used!

I'm thinking of getting something like an allied Soul Grinder with a CSM primary detachment, and use Invisibility on the grinder, so that it can march up the battlefield and shoot/smash everything in its path.
Another possibility is taking out weak-willed hordes with the primaris power (Ork boy mobs, etc).

That pesky elder player bringing his shiny new Titan?

Puppet Master.

If using him with CSM a 10 squad of bikes sounds like a great idea, invs them for a 2+ cover save at all times, make them nurgle and you got 10 T6 2+ cover 3+ armor barreling towards the enemy. They also get a redicoulous amount of attacks on the charge along with HOW.

Attach a Biker Lord w/MoN and any cool CCW, and suddenly deathstar.

It's really a question of whether you are using Invisibility or Puppet Master each turn. Those are really the 2 powers that are going to mean the most in the most situations.

Basically, anything that needs to run up the board is going to benefit from Invisibility. Large Biker squads with a CL are certainly a good idea and almost could be called the first 6th edition Chaos death star. It's something I am planning to try this weekend instead of Christmas shopping.

Then you could think about the following units as well. I am not sure what ones would work best but am certainly thinking about it.

- Spawn
- Chosen
- a single Forgefiend
- a single DP
- a single Maulerfiend

The first CSM deathstar:

HQ:
-Be'lakor [350 pts]
-Lord w/MoN, Bike, Power weapon, VotLW [120 pts]

Troops:
-Cultists [50 pts]
-Cultists [50 pts]

Fast Attack:
- Chaos Bikers w/+7, MoN, VotLW, 2x Meltagun [300 pts]

Total: 870 pts.

feth.

If I was sure not to face Str D, I'd take that.

EDIT: Add a heldrake and give melta bombs to the CL and the biker champ, and play at 1050 pts

Adding a chaos lord or even a sorcerer on a bike would be great. The lord gives more cc potential and fearless but the sorcerer can also do some crazy stuff.

Overall the lord would be the best, I think a very balanced chaos list is where its at.

Be'lakor
Chaos lord on bike

Couple of 10 man CSM's in Rhinos with plasma.
Couple of token Cultist squads

10 man Bike squad for invis and lord to go in
1 hell drake

couple of chaos preds or forgefiends

this would be a very balanced and mean list

I would use invisibility on your friendly assaulty units, then use puppet master or hallucination on your enemy's uber units, should work out nicely. I plan on casting invisibility on my lord of skulls until he gets into assault range then let loose with psychic shriek and hallucination on anything that dares to challenge it. lol

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.
