I think its a great and interesting concept. And metal is always my favorite medium (especially for mini's). I wish you guys good luck and I hope your kickstarter crushes it.

The only thing making me hesitant is the pricing, and I know that metal costs a boat load more than plastic to produce.

I fear that just like plastic stuff it gets lost and "disappears" and replacement cost would be hard to swallow.

Seems like a cool idea, but I'm rather worried that you can buy a set of map dividers (i.e. this except adjustable for any distance depending on how big the thing is) for approximately the same price.

So its a 1 inch bow compass?

I mean its nice and I admire their dedication to get this going and all that jazz

but I am pretty sure I can get one at the $1 store and just super glue it set to 1 inch
