This list has been doing well for me but I'd love some feedback for a super-competitive tournie environment (no escalation or stronghold). Approach is very TAC but the competition is very good and netlisted. Thanks.

I prefer the use of a GravSpam Command Squad with the Chapter Master but your list is good. I love the LoTD

I agree. I like the list and those LotD always kick my butt! You got all the tools to deal with whatever. And I hate you for those servo skulls ;p

LotD is ace that's all I know. Have you considered taking a squad with a flamer and heavy flamer?

Their guns already ignore cover.

Exactly about the flamers the flamers are probably better off going on a cheap sternguard squad in a pod. Having firsthand experience against buddha's lists those LotD are ALWAYS all-stars along with the CM. The ignores cover melta/grav and plasma grav squads that reroll deep strike scatter always eliminate my best threats then his other stuff is usually spread out enough I can't focus on an area thus causing you to make a choice of where to go while he can react to you. Add to that the times coteaz gets prescience and perfect timing and your talking about a LOT of ignores cover plasma/melta/grav

I thought that only the bolter shots on LotD get ignores cover? Also quick question, why the combi grav on the Sgt?

Buddha can give you a better explanation. But my understanding of the combi grav on the sergeant is to get 3 shots with pseudo relentless at AP2 that can ignore cover and immobilize vehicles. His army is one of flexibility and the combi grav gives him better flexibility of targets. It synergize better with the plasma than the melta but he still has 2 melta shots while if their are no good vehicle targets giving him 5 ap1/2 shots. With the plasma squad it reduces gets hot potential and gives him 3 shots at 18" instead of 2 at 12" or 1 at 24". It's one of the few situations where I agree with him that not having all the same weapons is actually a good thing not a bad thing.
