Subject: Warhammer 40K Video Bat Rep Tyranids vs Chaos
Geoff "InControl" Robinson busts out his Nids against Frankie's Chaos! We're in the last 48 hours of our Mega Mat KickStarter! Be sure to check it out before it's done!
Its unfortunate to say that these kind of catastrophic turn abouts happen a lot in 40k and I feel your pain Geoff. Hopefully what you took out of the loss was "i need to separate my gants from my tervigon when there's a chance he will die next turn" or "I need to keep my flyrant way back behind LOS blocking terrain when the helldrakes are definately coming in next turn". Its easy to say "the helldrakes are OP and GW neds to nerf them" but while that may be true ultimately the loss came from a combination of 3 things. The super powerful helldrake vector strikes, exceptional rolls, and most importantly being too confident to think anything had to be fixed to secure your win.
It was a great batrep as usual from you guys! Keep em coming.

A simple strategy in that game would to drop the Flyrant down into melee combat with the Oblits after T2, not alot on his army can touch the Flyrant in CC and he can chew through them faster with AP2 CC attacks than 9 or so AP- wounds.
Also bury things with your gants. The Swarmlord should never have fought that entire Spawn squad alone. CC is often the best defense vs Drakes.
