I was thinking of jumping into warhammer fantasy, playing Empire and skaven, can anyone share any tactics or tricks they know for these two armies?

I was thinking of going fairly shooty empire (somehow) probably with loads of handgunners/artillery, a kind of line infantry feel

And a similar deal with skaven, but absurd amounts of clanrats/slaves

I hate to say this to prospective Empire players but the best empire armies are combined arms, infantry, knights, and warmachines. Frankly, our missile troops suck except for killing very small units. Empire's strength comes in versatility, you could play legions upon legions of infantry, or you could a low number of heavily armored knights, or even a gunline of wizards and warmachines!
