You're better off using the SM codex here if you have it. This list would be a lot more effective. I love BA to death, but using the SM book is the only viable option nowadays.

I don't have the SM codex but may get it in future. How would it suit this list better? (not doubting you but generally interested)

I like the BA codex for giving the tacticals Fnp while they hold objectives.

Also I'm keen on the assault marines being troops and only scattering 6" on the deepstrike. Plan is to deepstrike them either to flame eldar/tau/guard troops or else go for objectives/linebreaker late game.

What kind of tactics would the vanilla codex bring to this list?

SM codex is more efficient. Go ahead and use it if you don't like: Death Company, Death Company Dreadnoughts, Furioso Dreadnoughts, Librarian Dreadnoughts, Baal Predators, Sanguinary Guard, Sanguinary priests, any BA special character, assault marines as troops, BA psychic powers, vanguard being able to assault from deepstrike, fast status on all tanks but raiders, Decent of Angels or ability to give pretty much everyone FC and FNP (at a high cost).
The BA dex is weak and overcosted, If you don't like any of the above then go ahead and 'count as SM'. If you want a challenge, want to get serious respect or simply have an army infused with models from the list above, stick with BA.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
As to your list, there are a couple of things that are a few points out but not massively different in each case.
Unless you are using the ravens as transports, you are seriously lacking transportation for your troops. As it is, you have 2 transports and 4 footslogging units. Get some transports in that list, and/or more assault marines.

The only thing I'm going to add because I should have been in bed hours ago is that the Blood Angels version of the Vindicator is one of the best tanks for the points in the game. Being able to move 12" because of BA engines and still fire the Str10 large blast is ridiculous. People take BA as allies just for these. But yeah the thing with BA is you really have to play to their strength which is mobility and speed which leaves things like terminators and dreadnoughts lacking. I've never used a Librarian Dread though so I imagine if you take Wings as a spell he would be very mobile. I love Death Company but you can't give them JPs because it's just too expensive and having a 5 man squad with a TH and no armor around them will be a first turn target. They will never make it up table. You have to either give them a Land Raider or Drop Pod them or you are just wasting points on them.

The Priest goes with the tactical squad behind the Ageis Line.

The Death Company and Assault Termies go in their respective Stormravens.

Im not sure how many units can start in reserve as I don't have the rule book handy.

Ideally only the Tactical Squad with Priest start on the field with everything else on a Stormraven in reserve.

The Assault Squad is meant to DoA into backfield as well.

hmm, the problem with having so much of ur army in reserves is that when you (and you will, trust me) fail those reserve rolls and fail to show up for a few turns, itll kill

When I first bought a stormraven I used it as troop transport too. You will learn quickly that it is just a good way to instantly lose a game. It will get shot down and become a giant flying tomb. You are better off deep striking or drop pod and just use the raven as a gunship. Terminators can just teleport onto the field and anything with a jump pack gets to not only reroll failed reserve rolls but also only scatter 1 d6 instead of 2 with no chance of being shot down by a well placed interceptor shot. It's bad enough losing a 200 point model to 1 shot before it gets to do anything but when it has another 200+ points embarked on it that completely screws you.

Tbf th/ss termis are fantastic in a raven due to the 3++ contingency, as is mephiston due to t6. The issue you have though is that they wont be assaulting until turn 3 at best.

Or use the grav chute insertion for the Raven. The turn 3 assault is pretty catastrophic, imo. Dropping shooters out of the raven is better.
